I began dancing at the age of 3 until I was 18 years old, when I began teaching. Throughout my time dancing
I participated in many exams, shows, dance competitions and championships. I gained high marks in all exams and progressed
to Advanced Levels in all styles. I am currently still studying and doing many courses and exams to further my skills as a
teacher.
Competitions and Dance Festivals became a huge part of my dancing life and before long I became very successful,
winning numerous certificates, medals and trophies. By the age of 17, I had been named Central Scotland Ballet and Tap Champion
and Scottish Tap and Ballet Champion 6 times in total, I was also runner-up on a number of occasions for Modern. In 2000,
I was also named Champion of Champions for Ballet and was runner-up for both Tap and Modern.
I have been teaching for the past 7 years and throughout that time I have managed to pass on a great deal
of my experience and love of dance to many of my pupils . Those that I have taught have produced fantastic exam results and
have had great competition success. I am also a lecturer of dance at Stevenson College where I work with adults with learning
difficulties and disabilities, something which has helped me to develop as a teacher.
KS Dance has been open for almost 2 years now, it is going from strength to strength, and is my dream come
true!!
