I began dancing at the age of 3 and have never stopped since then!! I started teaching at the age of 18 and have taught for schools all over Scotland, in Edinburgh, Perth, Dumbarton and Fife, to name a few locations.
Throughout my time as a dancer I participated in exams, shows, dance competitions and championships. High marks were gained in all exams and I progressed to Advanced Levels in all styles of dance. By the age of 17 I had become very successful in competitions and championships all over Scotland and was named Central Scotland Champion and Scottish Champion 6 times in total.
I continue to take many courses and exams, as a teacher, to help my professional development and enhance my skills so that students at KS Dance Academy are receiving the best possible tuition that will help them to dance beautifully and safely and ensure they are progressing at every class.
Throughout my time as a dance teacher I have managed to pass on a great deal of my experience and love of dance to many of my pupils. Those that I have taught have produced fantastic exam results, have had great competition success and have also auditioned successfully for prestigious dance schools and colleges in London, and other areas of the UK. I have also lectured in Dance at Stevenson College where I worked with adults with learning difficulties and disabilities, something which has helped me to develop greatly, both personally and professionally.
In addition to dance training, I also studied Biology with Sport and Exercise Science at Heriot-Watt University.
I founded KS Dance in August 2007 and since then it has grown into a well respected, hard working and caring school where students can learn to dance in a safe, secure environment, have fun and work to their highest potential.
